October Fun!

Our neighborhood has a Halloween Parade where the kids in the neighborhood dress up in their costumes, walk down the street and then have hot dogs and cupcakes. Holly was a cheerleader this year. The other girls are her friends.





Kenny's baseball team won their division playoffs and were the 2007 champions. The team, coaches and parents were very welcoming to Kenny and our family and we're looking forward to the Spring season!

For Kenny's birthday, we looked and looked for a dog. We finally found the one! He reminds Byron and I of Eddie once in awhile, but he's got his own little personality. So far, he's been really good with the kids, and a lot of fun to play with.

For Kenny's party, we invited neighbors and baseball pals. Byron set up a few games to get the kids involved. He set up a huge football field for the games on our side yard.
All the boys had a blast and the girls hung out in the bouncer.
I still can't believe looking at the yard in pictures sometimes. It really is pretty here. I feel very blessed.

Visit from Grandma Candace!!

Grandma Candace was here for a week (a week ago already!). We had a great time visiting with her and showing her around our new state. We went to baseball games, parks, lakes, and then to the Atlantic Beach where these pictures were taken. We miss her already.



We all enjoyed hunting for seashells.








In Atlantic Beach, NC there was an Aquarium that we visited. It turned out to be a nice surprise with a huge water tank with several sharks inside. Even crocodiles......

Kenny and I were at a field trip to the pumpkin patch on Thursday. The boy on the left is his friend Zach, Colton is on the right and then Mitchell. All are his buddies.

The Kids

This is a picture of the first day of first grade for Kenny. Holly started kindergarten later on the same week.

Kenny is playing baseball on the Huskies. Our neighbor is the coach and invited him to play on the team the first week we got into town. Their team has done very well, winning 3 games and 1 loss. He got his first RBI on Tuesday!

Neighbors

Here's the backyard with the daily visit of our "neighbors" in the background. We also see a lot of deer, but they are harder to catch on film.

Up close, you can see there are four different ones. The white one is huge. The kids have a funny story about one of the brown ones so ask them to tell it to you next time you are talking to them on the phone.
